What it means to be a successful woman today, the real reason to make a million dollars, why women don't know they're stressed, how to claim the positioning you deserve, women breadwinners, women's leadership, what it takes to take a big leap and how understanding the inner workings of Patriarchy Stress Disorder and ancestral trauma can help negotiate the challenges -- Ali Brown and I talk about these and other hot topics. Please share your takeaways with us and ask us questions at www.hersuccessradio.com

You've worked hard to succeed. You're financially comfortable. Your life is good. But deep down inside, you feel dissatisfied. It's a disquieting feeling. You feel guilty about it. You should be happy. But you're not. Sometimes this dissatisfaction shows up as anxiety or depression. But what if it's the voice of your true desires calling out to you?

Patriarchy Stress Disorder™ (PSD)--the trauma of 1000s of years of oppression imprinted in our DNA--conditions us to stay in survival. It's impossible to be in survival and thrive at the same time. To thrive, we need to shift out of survival. To do that, we need to create safety where trauma makes us feel unsafe.

PSD also keeps us out of touch with our true desires. Because there's nothing more dangerous to patriarchy than a woman who's in touch with her true desires. So PSD blocks our access to them. And these blocks, keeping a lid on all this bubbling desire energy down, over time express and anxiety and depression.

How about we take off the lid and take a look inside? Taste the deliciousness of what's been cooking.

If what you heard today resonated with you, I have a very special invitation for you. You and I, on the phone. Looking at how PSD is affecting you and connecting the dots to map out a healing journey.

It's never been safe to be a woman in the world. For generations, we've learned to survive by keeping a lid on our desires and hiding our light under a bushel. There's so much unexpressed pain around 1000s of years of that trauma that I call Patriarchy Stress Disorder™ (PSD).

To cope, we compartmentalize and move on. We put the blinders on and take care of business. We succeed in one area, but we pay the price in another. We get blindsided with a crisis in our health or relationship, business, career, or finances.

If you've been awaken by a crisis... or if you don't want to wait for a crisis and are ready to heal and become whole again... I have a very special invitation for you in this episode. You and I, on the phone. Looking at how PSD is affecting you and connecting the dots to map out a healing journey.

Money and power go hand in hand. It’s never been safe for a woman to be powerful. Until very recently, a woman was not allowed to have her own money. Do you think it affects our relationship with money? I share my own journey from giving away my power and money to breaking out of the invisible inner prison of Patriarchy Stress Disorder™-- the trauma of 1000s of years of oppression imprinted in our DNA -- so that I could feel safe standing and shining in my power. So that I could attract and keep growing financial abundance and my power to make a difference in the world with my work and my money.

Women are nearly twice as likely as men to be diagnosed with depression and/or anxiety than men. Conventional treatments do not consider the trauma of 1000s of years of oppression passed down in our DNA as a crucial factor that underlies depression and anxiety. I call this condition Patriarchy Stress Disorder™ (PSD).

PSD is an invisible inner jail that generations of women have been born into.

In this episode, I show you how both depression and anxiety are adaptive reactions to the trauma of oppression.

Because the first step in breaking out of the prison is realizing that we are in prison.

I show you exactly how PSD affects your mental and physical health and begin your healing journey with a PSD jailbreak.

The anatomy of the inner jail of PSD

Its walls are constructed of the trauma of 1000s years of oppression that has been passed down to us from our mothers, grandmothers, and great great great grandmothers galore through our DNA.

Its bars are all the ways in which PSD expresses in our health, relationships, career, business, finances, confidence, wellbeing, etc. -- holding us back from our ultimate happiness and success, standing in the way of us truly having it all.

We have an online community of PSD jailbreakers. I'd love for you to join us.

I've been having conversations with these amazing women about how PSD affects them. This is what I call "the bars" of the PSD jail. Here are a few that they've shared. Maybe you'll recognize yourself in them. I certainly did:

*I'm still discovering the extent to which this affects me. It definitely shows up, everywhere! In self-sabotage - whenever I get healthier and fitter, I injure myself or get sick... In business, through lack of consistency... etc.

*It has caused me to repress my sexual flow. It has caused me to devalue my feminine powers and attributes.

*Health through burn out and adrenal fatigue. Fight or flight mode after birth. Men not honoring me in the work place.

*I think I am afraid to be myself sometimes and not trust in my abilities to be fully myself.

*After working in a patriarchal, male dominated environment, developing severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

*Having to deal with modes of behavior that are set up for men, but don’t work for women.

*I’ve been in a male dominated technology field for about 25 years. I work with young women to try to get them interested in technology but they seem to be much more interested in traditional gender roles than my generation. It’s frustrating.

*In feeling like I need to do more and am not enough.

*My ex/child’s dad is very patriarchal and always discounting me to my daughter and I am always looking for ways to overcome to stress of it and to teach my daughter to see it for what it is, and not be “auto-effected” by the patriarchy.

*I don't always know how to deal with mansplainers. I come across them often in my work.

*Playing small, stress when in groups with males at work, physical anxiety around groups of men, not being recognized for the hard work I am doin.

*Probably on every level - I had to train myself to think like a man!

*Working in Tech: Communicating scientific facts to hostile male audiences. Fun! Yay!

*As a young adult I came down with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and did not pursue a career. My marriage failed and I am trying to rebuild my life and find a career.

*Rage, depression, skin issues, soreness, allergies, panic, anxiety.

*I live a gendered lifestyle in which I have surprisingly found myself mostly in a traditional "women's" role — doing the bulk of the cooking, cleaning and childcare. I make art about the same subject. I feel my work is devalued.

*I’m in an everyday every hour, every minute, every second chronic worrier. I stress everything. Even if there's nothing to stress. I overthink and overanalyze life consistently. I truly need help.

*I grew up in a strict religion where PSD is magnified. I have so many dreams but the fear of standing up for myself holds me back.

*In every way.

In the forthcoming episodes, I'll unpack each of the PSD jail bars more fully -- how it affects our health, relationships, career, business, finances, our self-esteem, self-care, wellbeing, parenting, etc. -- the biology and psychology of it.

Please share in the comments below or in our Facebook community how PSD affects you, so I can weave answers to your questions into these revolutionary materials and bring you maximum value in the forthcoming episodes.

Your jailbreak

Next, you need a jailbreak plan. I will be unpacking the plan week after week, episode by episode. (Make sure to subscribe here or in your favorite podcast app not to miss it and join my community of PSD jailbreakers -- it's free.)

But if you're impatient like me, you feel you've already waited too long to reclaim your inner freedom and your ultimate success and happiness -- and you're ready for your jailbreak NOW, I invite you to apply for a 1:1 PSD Jailbreak Strategy Session with me personally.

What I bring to the table is over 20,000 hours of experience as a therapist specializing in holistic (mind-body-spirit) trauma resolution. I’ve spent over 14 years helping my clients plan and execute their jailbreaks.

That's thousands of women who freed themselves from the prison of trauma (PSD being just one of the trauma varieties) where they were holding themselves back to feel safe — to boldly stepping out professionally and personally, claiming their gorgeousness, dodging clothes that served as their "invisibility cloaks" for bright colors, sexy silhouettes, and fabulous shoes, finding their soulmates, skyrocketing their incomes, their life, work, and relationship satisfaction.

That's hundreds of relationships that broke out of the trauma prison (yes, women and men are traumatized by patriarchy differently, with other kinds of trauma typically in the mix), transformed from suffering to thriving, from a lack of connection to deep intimacy, from emotional and physical affection deprivation to avalanches of toe-curling orgasms and deep fulfillment found in their togetherness.

I can go on and on.

But the thing that really matters here is — what’s waiting for YOU on the other side of the PSD prison walls?

I'll be happy to help you discover it.

Each week, I have only 3 slots and they fill on a first come first served basis. If you feel you've waited long enough to reclaim true inner freedom, success, and happiness, please don't wait any longer.

I look forward to reading your application and devising your genius jailbreak plan this week.

Remember: In the world where it's never been safe for a woman to be visible, her success is a revolutionary act. Thank you for being her success revolutionary. Please share these revolutionary materials with your sisters and brothers who love us.

With love and appreciation,

xx

Discovery of Patriarchy Stress Disorder

It was one of those aggravating arguments. My husband was not hearing me. He wasn't seeing me. He wasn't even looking at me. He was looking at the books lined up on my home office shelves.

I was going on and on, exasperated. He was quiet. Which aggravated me even more.

Then he turned around and said: "I find it fascinating. Here you have all these books on mindfulness, yoga, meditation, all this self-help... And you just can't help yourself.”

It stopped me dead in my tracks.

He was right.

I couldn't help myself.

Two graduate degrees in Psychology, decades on the personal development quest, years in therapy -- and I couldn't help myself.

As I was catching my breath, I wondered: "Why? What's wrong with me? Why am I able to help my clients dramatically transform their lives, but I can’t help myself?”

After taking a closer closer look at what I was doing for my clients that I wasn’t doing for myself, the answer popped up.

Trauma

Because I understood that trauma was at the root of all issues my clients were brining to me in therapy, I working with them using mind-body-spirt tools that facilitated trauma resolution.

Why wasn’t I doing this for myself?

Because I didn’t believe I had trauma.

I wasn’t physically or sexually abused, raped, held at a gunpoint, abandoned by my mother or father, my parents didn’t go through an acrimonious divorce.

But I had symptoms of trauma (PTSD).

I frequently experienced confusion and difficulty concentrating. (which I wrote off as adult ADD or perhaps “mommy brain”).

I was prone to anger, irritability, and mood swings (which I attributed to stress in general, and “bad temper” — a theory that my parents had very effectively sold me).

I suffered from anxiety and fears. (But I’ve never NOT had anxiety and fears, so I figured it was “just me.”)

I was prone to guilt, shame, and self-blame (hello, I’m a woman!).

I was prone to withdrawing from others when feeling particularly crappy about myself (a symptom of depression which I had also suffered from — I figured that was just a leftover defense mechanism). Feeling sad or hopeless (classic depression symptoms — what else is new). Feeling disconnected or numb (ditto).

But what was my trauma?

Then, through grace, an answer came.

For 1000s of years under patriarchy, women have been oppressed. The patriarchal culture has been traumatizing us through oppression. We now have scientific evidence that we inherit trauma through our DNA.

Therefore, we we all born traumatized by patriarchy into a patriarchal society that continuously re-traumatizes us.

This kind of trauma is one common denominator that all women share.

I call it Patriarchy Stress Disorder™ (PSD).

And then other types of trauma layer on top of it, like a layered cake. I’ll discuss them in more detail in the forthcoming episodes (make sure to subscribe to my podcast so you don't miss them).

In light of this discovery, the etiology of my symptoms looked very differently.

Confusion and difficulty concentrating — an adaptive mechanism that develops post-traumatically to ensure our survival: constantly scanning and tracking the environment for potential dangers.

Prone to anger, irritability, and mood swings — a function of constant nervous system activation to be prepared to fend off danger. Also an adaptive mechanism to ensure our survival in an environment that’s proven to be unsafe.

Anxiety and fears — resulting from hyper vigilance that is also a trauma adaptation to protect us — a bias in interpreting stimuli as threatening. Survival of the anxious. You would have to be crazy not to be anxious, fearful, and hyper-vigilant when you’re unsafe.

Guilt, shame, and self-blame — this is a result of cultural and religious conditioning that’s been effectively selling women on their inherent worthlessness for 1000s of years (cite research).

Depression symptoms (prone to withdrawing from others, feeling sad or hopeless, feeling disconnected or numb) — you would have to be crazy NOT to be depressed when you’re oppressed. If you’re not depressed, you’re delusional or, if you prefer, in denial.

The second part of my great aha was — trauma is trauma. The same tools work for all kinds of trauma.

The reason my clients’ lives were transforming and I still “couldn’t help myself” was because I was working with them using trauma resolution tools.

And with these two powerful aha’s my transformation began.

The inner jail of PSD

In this episode, I invite you on your journey of transformation -- that involves a jailbreak.

First, I show you the walls and the bars of the inner jail that is Patriarchy Stress Disorder™ (PSD) that we're all born into.

The problem is that both the walls and the bars are invisible.

The walls just feel like a normal part of our environment -- it's just the way things are. If we've never experienced life outside of the PSD prison we were born into, we don't have a different experience, a reference point for true inner freedom. We feel restricted, squashed, repressed, stressed, but we don't know why. Heeding advice of self-help gurus, life coaches, and motivational speakers, we "take responsibility" for our lack of inner freedom aka blame ourselves on the account that we "hold ourselves back," don't "play big" enough, have difficulty with "daring greatly," or self-sabotage when trying our best to "lean in" and "thrive."

The bars -- we were all sold explanations for the issues we're facing in health, relationships, career, business, finances, confidence, wellbeing, etc. — that came with a long and costly road of medical and psychological treatments, "personal growth," and "self-improvement." This road is costly not just in terms of time and money. It's costly in that it avoids addressing the real issue -- the trauma that imprisons us -- thus furthering the patriarchal agenda of having us believe: “Something is wrong with me and I need to fix it." After all, our economy revolves on making women feel terrible about themselves.

The jail bars: How PSD affects women

We have an online community of PSD jailbreakers. I'd love for you to join us.

I've been having conversations with these amazing women about how PSD affects them. This is what I call "the bars" of the PSD jail. Here are a few that they've shared. Maybe you'll recognize yourself in them. I certainly did:

Your jailbreak

Next, you need a jailbreak plan. I will be unpacking the plan week after week, episode by episode. (Make sure to subscribe here or in your favorite podcast app not to miss it and join my community of PSD jailbreakers -- it's free.)

But if you're impatient like me, you feel you've already waited too long to reclaim your inner freedom and your ultimate success and happiness -- and you're ready for your jailbreak NOW, I invite you to apply for a 1:1 PSD Jailbreak Strategy Session with me personally at no monetary cost to you. It will cost you time and it may cost you your old jailed life.

I can go on and on.

But the thing that really matters here is — what’s waiting for YOU on the other side of the PSD prison walls?

As you're contemplating if this session is worth your while, here're some FAQs you may find useful:

Q: What happens in the Jailbreak Strategy Session?

A: We'll identify the walls and the bars -- the way they uniquely manifest in your life.

Q: What is the goal of the session?

A: To make the invisible factors that are affecting you visible. So that with this knowledge, things FINALLY make sense. You will breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the issues you've been working so hard to "fix" yourself around are not your fault. We also outline a "jailbreak" strategy for breaking out of the PSD prison (aka resolving this trauma on the levels of the mind, body, spirit, and energy).

Q: Will you be selling me something?

If in the course of our conversation you discover that you’d like to work more closely with me on your PSD jailbreak and claiming your ultimate success and happiness, just let me know. I’ll be honored to share with you the opportunities I currently offer to have me on your team as your guide and mission support.

Now I have a few questions for you -- to see if a PSD Jailbreak Strategy Session is right for you at this time.

Because time is our most valuable resource, and I’m a big believer in maximizing a return on any investment, I only offer these sessions to women, men, and couples who stand to benefit the most.

So that at the end of our session, you and I both feel that the return on the investment of time would be at least 10x in at least one area — psychical or mental health, relationship, career, business, or money.

Sounds good?

Then go ahead and apply for your jailbreak strategy now.

Each week, I have only 3 slots and they fill on a first come first served basis. If you feel you've waited long enough to reclaim true inner freedom, success, and happiness, please don't wait any longer.

I look forward to reading your application and devising your genius jailbreak plan soon.

My sister in success, you’ve been working so hard and achieved so much.

And yet somehow you still feel like you’re failing.

Failing at meditation, mindfulness, and self-care.

Failing at playing big, fully stepping into your power, and manifesting unlimited financial abundance.

Failing at creating a deeply fulfilling relationship, failing at motherhood, failing at reaching your goal weight, optimal physical health and mindset, mental and emotional freedom.

Sometimes it feels like you’re at war with your body and mind, at war with yourself, and you just can’t win.

Before you reach for another self-help book or enroll in one more personal development course, let me tell you that

it’s not your fault.

There’s a missing link to women’s ultimate happiness and success that therapists, counselors, coaches, spiritual leaders, personal growth programs, and self-help books don’t talk about.

In my over 20,000 hours of practice as a therapist, I’ve seen this missing link at play in every woman — unrelenting yet unrecognized. With such overwhelming evidence, I realized that I had discovered a legitimate condition — an expression of the intergenerational trauma of 1000s of years of oppression of women by the patriarchal culture imprinted in our minds, bodies, our nervous systems, our DNA. A condition that deeply and profoundly affects our thoughts and emotions, choices and behaviors and holds us back from claiming our ultimate happiness and success.

I named this condition

Patriarchy Stress Disorder™

Today, I’m excited to share with you my cutting edge discovery in this audio training — Part 1 of a series of audio trainings I’ll be releasing on this topic weekly.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • What Patriarchy Stress Disorder is
  • Why as a Psychologist, I believe that all women are affected by it
  • Why it is so important to our health, relationships and finances to recognize it
  • How it may be affecting you

You’ll also hear me share some personal stories of discovering how PSD was affecting me through ruptures in my marriage and health.

I’d love to hear from you.

How is PSD affecting you?

Which of the 2 types of trauma response are you experiencing: Freeze (feeling stuck) or Fight / Flight (running high levels of stress — sometimes without even realizing it — pushing till it breaks).

How is this trauma response play out in your business, relationships, finances, health?

Please tell me in the comments on this episode's page.

For more revolutionary success and happiness breakthroughs, please join my free Facebook group.

If you found this episode valuable, please share it with your friends.

You know how there are some people you meet who transform your life? Just one meeting can transform your life. Dorcy Pruter is one of those people. When I met her, I nicknamed her “The Good Witch.” She is so powerful in her presence. She is so astute, she's an intuitive coach, she's a serial entrepreneur. But these words really don't do her justice. This is one of those interviews that you simply must experience, because the experience itself, the experience of being in her energy is transformative.

We talked about so many things. We talked about the obstacles that she had to overcome and she's facing right now on her success journey. We talked about her being a reluctant hero and really resisting going into the business and service that was her calling.

She really didn't want to do it. Now 12 years later, her business has created a blueprint for reuniting families that gets court-mandated all over the world. The ripples of the good that she's creating in the world are incredible.

We talk about parenting, we talk about conscious parenting. We talk about the inner child. If you grew up with a single parent, if your parents went through a divorce, if you're going through a divorce yourself or know somebody who is going through a divorce, it's a must, must, must listen to. You will learn so much as I have today.

Oh, by the way, Dorcy has amazing initiatives to help beginner entrepreneurs and to help coaches who want to learn a powerful method, a powerful blueprint, and are called to work in the area of healing relationships between divorced parents and their children. Such deep healing of such deep raptures and so much good in the world.

Let me delay you no longer. Please enjoy this fantastic interview. Take in Dorcy and allow yourself to be powerfully transformed.

Make sure to leave us a comment down below in the comments section, and I will make sure that Dorcy sees any comments or questions that you have about what we talked about. Share with us your favorite takeaway.

Today's a big deal kind of day for me. I just finished interviewing Marie Forleo. To give you an idea of what a big deal of a day it is — it’s now 2018. In 2015, I joined B-School. This is a program that Marie created, and the membership is well over 20,000 people. It's an online school for modern entrepreneurs.

For me, on my entrepreneurial journey, that was my gateway drug. This is where it all began. I had just quit my job and I was just figuring out how to really launch my business. It was a vulnerable time, it was a scary time. I didn't know anything. I didn't know what I was doing, and B-School really helped me not only learn the ropes — that was very helpful — but it gave me that community. It gave me a cheerleading crew of people who witnessed my journey, supported me, whose journeys I witnessed.

Once a B-Schooler, always a B-Schooler. I'm still a part of that community, and I'm still going back almost every day. I'm checking in when I have a question or I need support, or I want to offer support or share a win.

Marie and I chatted today. Three years ago I could not have imagined that only three years down the line, I would be running my own programs. I would have my own following. I would have my own show and that I would be interviewing Marie. This did not even enter my imagination.

And yet, it's my reality. I'm so thrilled to share this interview with you. Marie is so candid. She she shares about her own success blocks. She shares about how long it took her to start getting traction. Seven years it took her to start getting visible traction in her business! So this is for you, if you're thinking about getting into business, or you're early on and maybe you're considering quitting and getting a job.

Circumstances may be different, but I think you will find so much wisdom and motivation in this interview. It's such a great reality check about the real behind-the-scenes of being an entrepreneur, so I'm so grateful for Marie's candor and keeping it real. Please watch and comment.

In the show notes at

https://drvaleriebaker.com/marie-forleo/

you will find a link to a free workshop that Marie is sharing with us. It's available for a limited time. It's only available once a year, and at the end of the workshop there is an invitation to join B-School and you'll hear us chat about it on the interview.

This workshop is not to be missed. Whether or not you're considering becoming an entrepreneur, whether or not this is the right timing or not, you will receive so much value. I watch it every year, and every time I learn something new. So, make sure to watch and share with those who are considering becoming an entrepreneur.

Forget about considering becoming an entrepreneur. If you know somebody or if you are that somebody who has some gifts that they would like to share with people, or who are already sharing their gifts with people but maybe are not getting paid or are getting paid very little, you will learn so much in this free workshop that might just change your life, and might just change the world.

Please enjoy my interview with Marie.

Thank you so much for celebrating my special milestone day with me. It means a lot that you're here and watching and listening. Please share the interview and the invitation to the workshop. I look forward to connecting with you. Please leave a comment and let me know what you found most inspirational, and where you are on your journey of bringing your gifts into the world. Thank you.

WIN A SCHOLARSHIP TO B-SCHOOL 2018!

I got a very important announcement for you. Please pay attention. If after watching Marie's free workshop

--> get the link in show notes at

https://drvaleriebaker.com/marie-forleo/

or maybe even before that — maybe you already know that you feel drawn to becoming a B-Schooler…

I have a scholarship to give away! And the way to get your hands on that scholarship is to first email me at valerie@drvalerie.com for details.

Basically it will involve sharing about B-School with people. And that's how we as women create a lot of value in the world by sharing with other women the value of something that we've found.

So if you receive value from this podcast, if you receive value from Marie's workshop, and if you yourself feel that that gift that you have deserves to be shining in the world and you deserve to be paid handsomely for it — even if just a little part of you suspects that may be true and that's enough to juice you up about becoming a B-Schooler — make sure to email me and let me know valerie@drvalerie.com, “B-School 2018” in the subject line and I'll send you exactly what you need for your chance to get that scholarship.

I only have one, but it's very valuable. Not only in the monetary sense, but it's very valuable in terms of getting that lifetime membership in B-School, that community of 20,000 entrepreneurs and counting. It's gonna be much larger after this enrollment.

I'm a member and I would not be where I am today in my life and business if not for B-School. As you heard me share with Marie on the interview, it was my gateway drug and now a drug of choice on my entrepreneurial journey.

It's a rare day that goes by that I don't log into B-School Facebook group where I can ask any question, ask for recommendations, ask for feedback, ask for support, share my wins. This is an invaluable resource.

So I hope that you're jazzed about it, that you are signing up for Marie's free workshop -->

--> get your link here:

https://drvaleriebaker.com/marie-forleo/

See what this is all about.

And if you are even a little bit considering B-School…

Maybe you're considering becoming an entrepreneur. Maybe you're already in business and you would like access to this amazing peer group — it’s huge. It spans the globe. And that in itself is invaluable. As entrepreneurs, we know how valuable these peer groups are. People on the same journey that see us, support us, and can give us resources. And we can share with them at any time.

It's never too early and you're never too advanced to join B-School. It will be just for slightly different reasons, but they're all really valuable. Even if a little bit of you is considering that it may be a good choice for you ...

Send me an email valerie@drvalerie.com with “B-School 2018" in the subject line, and I'll send you everything you need to know about how you can get a chance to get that scholarship by simply helping us spread the value of this free workshop.

Spread the word. Share the good, send the ripples of high impact good into the world. Thank you so much for watching and listening. Here’s to your success!

I just finished interviewing Sarah Drew, the author of Gaia Codex, a fascinating, enchanting book that speaks directly to the soul. Somehow the message of the book completely bypasses the rational and speaks directly to your subconscious, your body.

Don't take my word for it. Check it out. Below you'll find a link to a free gift from Sarah. And also a link to her site where you can find out more about her book and the message.

And of course I hope that you will listen to the interview. It really blew me away. And those of us who are more into the woo, will appreciate that at some point during the interview when Sarah was talking about something really important, this gorgeous blue light shot across the screen and stayed there. I didn't comment on it during the interview. I thought "Well for the off chance there’s something wrong with my screen."

After the interview Sarah and I chatted about that. She certainly saw it too, and you can see it on video. And you can find out what we were talking about when the presence of this light made itself visible. And interestingly enough, the light is the color of the butterfly that stands for metamorphosis. That's the central theme of the book.

I can't resist, I wanna give you a taste of this wonderful read.

"When a priestess is truly seated on her throne, she realizes that she carries the throne within her. Our bodies are the temple of our souls. To be seated on the throne is to be well placed inside our own sacred chambers deeply grounded into the root of mother earth, well seated in the center of our belly as we connect to the stars and the sky and let the goddesses' inspiration, her words and actions flow through us."

The book just holds you in this state of fascination and the remembrance of who you truly are. And it unfolds page after page.

In our interview we talked about how a woman remembers who she truly is. How she taps into that unique wisdom that has been entrusted to her and her alone and how she learns to courageously live from that place and bring that unique wisdom to the table. Bring her unique piece of the puzzle and place it where it belongs in the fabric of life.

We had such a delicious conversation and I hope you join us. Please share your biggest take away or questions for me or Sarah in the comments below. And of course if you enjoy this episode, make sure to  share it (www.hersuccessradio.com) and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts — Apple Podcasts, iTunes, Stitcher, whatever podcast app you're using — and if you feel so inclined if you have something to say that will help other people find us, leave a review and a rating.

I look forward to connecting with you in our next episode of Her Success Radio. Thank you so much for being here.

When I have these conversations with successful women on Her Success Radio, I never know where the conversation will go. Today, I'm so excited to bring to you Alexis Asbe, who is a serial entrepreneur. She's serious about pleasure. She's serious about good life. When I mean serious, I mean you need to listen to this episode. We talk about everything from what it means to be a woman and run your business from the place of pleasure, and how that actually creates business success.

There's not enough conversation about this, so I really encourage you to tune in. We talk about things like how to talk about sex to your children, which is also a conversation we need to be having more.

Alexis and I would love to get your greatest takeaways from this conversation.

It was such a pleasure to interview Bonnie Gillespie. I enjoyed the conversation and took away so many pearls of wisdom, as I hope you will.

Bonnie built her business and her fulfilling lifestyle by helping other people step into their greatness. She discovered that's what her true greatness was, although she is multi-talented and we chat about how exactly she discovered the path to follow her true greatness. For many of us who are multi- talented this can be quite a tough choice.

Bonnie shares from behind the scenes of building a successful business and lifestyle from the values of love and giving, adding value to people's lives. She's one of the most loving and giving people I've experienced. She's like the Dalai Lama of Hollywood and entrepreneurship and beyond.

I hope you enjoy this episode, and if you do, please share. Please share on social. Please share with your friends. When you share please tag Dr. Valerie — @thedrvalerie on all social — on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

I want to reward you for helping us spread the word about the show. As you know or you will find out from the show, Bonnie authored a book that's now is a textbook in a lot of universities and colleges, “Self-Management for Actors: Getting Down to (Show) Business.” (Check our over a 100 5-star reviews on Amazon, wow!) It’s now in its fourth edition.

I want to gift you this book. I'll gift one book to someone who shares about our show on social media. Keep on reading to find out exactly how and when I’ll pick a winner and if it’s you, how you will receive your book.

I hope that you enjoy the episode and share with your fellow Her Success revolutionaries. Here is to your success!

I knew that talking to Anna Lozano, I would learn a lot and I was very excited to ask her questions about how she built a million dollar empire in network marketing. I was excited to ask her about her new business that is truly on a world-changing mission, and I'll tell you in a second about what that is. I knew that, and the interview was so full of surprises, unexpected pearls of wisdom about what makes one woman succeed and just go vertical in network marketing — because the structures, the coaching, the support are available — while other women struggle for years or they just don't get traction, and the pain of that and the frustration of that and how to turn that around.

Anna had a lot of insights to share, and because I know and she knows that network marketing is an entry point into entrepreneurship for many women, I trust that this episode will be very useful to those who are considering getting their feet wet with entrepreneurship but maybe are not ready to go full-time yet.

For those of us who are parents — check this out. Love Powered Co. is Anna's new baby. She founded this company with her partner, Lindy Sood. These two amazing goddesses are on a mission to support the new generation in being deeply internally resourced through mindfulness and positive affirmations. I’m just so moved by what they're up to. I'm a mom to a seven year old girl, and I got this for her. [insert image of affirmation cards]

You open up this gorgeous box. "What's your power?" is the question on the first card. This is a deck of cards of affirmations for little ones. What a brilliant idea. It comes with instructions, and they're just so nice, nice to the touch, and they're durable. That is important for those of us with children. "What's your power?" On the flip side the cards are all different. "Love is my power," this one says. "I'm love. I am compassionate. I'm kind. I give love. I receive love. I embody love. I am love. When did you give or receive love today? How did you feel?"

I love that these affirmations are not only words, they really have instructions for embodying that feeling and they prompt children to think about how they experienced it today, and so it puts it on their radar and so the next day they're already tracking, "How can I give and receive more love?"

It recalibrates their system. It becomes their new normal, and as you know this is the work that I do. Well, this is very similar to the work that I do with adults, so for me to get in touch with somebody who is doing this for children is so heartwarming as a mom.

I hope you listen to this interview, you find out more about Anna's journey, how she got started and what it was like for her, being a daughter of immigrant parents, creating this life beyond what she was taught was possible, beyond what she was taught in her business school, and how she got on this path of claiming more for herself and her family, not only in the ways of abundance, physical abundance, monetary abundance; in the ways of abundance of love and mission.

These cards are so precious, and so I hope you check them out.

And… you can WIN yours by simply sharing this episode!

What blew me away in Vivian’s interview

If you're having self-doubt, if you're having thoughts like, "Who am I to do this," if you have this calling inside you that you've been holding yourself back from acting on, thinking, "Well, maybe I'm not enough, maybe I can't change the world," if you have a personal story that's full of pain and maybe shame and suffering, you've got to listen to this episode of Her Success Radio with Vivian Glyck. This woman will snap you out of this with her story. This episode moved me so deeply, and I'll tell you why in a moment.

I'm Dr. Valerie, the host of Her Success Radio, talking to you about the episode called The Women That We Can Become: Do The Next Right Thing, with Vivian Glyck.

Vivian is the founder of Just Like My Child Foundation, so for the past 11 years, she has been doing this thing. When people ask her what it is that she does for a living, she says, "I can't believe this, but I save babies in Africa.”

So no small feat. Her foundation has accomplished amazing milestones, saved thousands of lives through education, mentorship, healthcare, micro-enterprise—phenomenal accomplishments. And it all started with Vivian's personal story, and she goes very deeply into her personal story.

After she gave birth to her son Zak, and then her heart just broke open as a mother, she became so connected with the suffering of other children, and all these statistics and all this information kept coming her way about the suffering of children in Africa. Just as an example, something I learned from her, that the number one cause of death of adolescent girls in the U.S. is suicide, and the number one cause of death of adolescent girls in Uganda is childbirth, so very acute suffering, and she was pulled to do this work, but check this out.

She was living a very comfortable life in sunny California. She didn't have to do any of that. Do you ever find yourself in that place where you're like, "You know, I have this great idea. I'm thinking of this, but you know what? I don't have to do this." And you give yourself that out, so she didn't have to do any of this, but at the same time, she had to do this, and the way she explains it is that that pain that she was feeling became greater than the pleasure of the comfort, and so she went to Africa, and everybody thought that she lost her mind.

And you may think that running a charity, everybody opens the door for you and opens their wallets, everybody wants to support you, but I was shocked when Vivian shared real-life day-to-day obstacles that she has to deal with, so every day is difficult. She has to overcome things to make things happen.

I asked her this question I really want to know the answer to, "How come she hasn't quit? How come she hasn't quit despite all these obstacles?" And here's what she said: She compared her business, her mission, with her child, and that really went in so deep in my heart when I heard that. She said, "How do I give up on my own child? I just can't do it. I can never walk away and say, 'I'm sorry. This is just too difficult.'" So she says, "I'm a mama lion…” and every woman is a mama lion, whether or not you've awakened to that powerfully or not. “I'm here to protect, I'm here to take care, I'm here to do good, but don't get in my way

If you're looking for that inspiration, tune into this episode with Vivian, and you will learn so much wisdom from her, as I've learned.

When I asked her what advice she would give to a woman who is starting out with her mission, with her message, she said, "Number one, disabuse yourself from the thought that you can't make an impact." So important. And number two, "Do the next right thing." And if you want to know more, she really goes deeply into her story and into what she means by the next right thing, that you can hear on the episode. You can find us on iTunes, Her Success Radio, and look for the episode with Vivian.

Such powerful words. "God is waiting for us to do the next right thing," she said. She said, "Let's get this business of handling ourselves handled. All this business of handling our weight, our looks, our image, whatever we get busy with, because God is waiting for us to do the next right thing." How does this land for you? It landed so powerfully for me.

Another huge nugget, huge takeaway, was about confidence. She said, "The second you get a girl into service, which is really what she wants to do, that stuff about her self-esteem falls away." And I pointed out to her that most of us are waiting for that magic confidence pill, or we're doing these confidence trainings to get the confidence to act on our mission and to be in service, but what Vivian is saying is the other way around. You get a girl into service, that's what she needs, that's what she really wants, and then confidence issues are no longer issues, so don't take our word for it, try it.

Vivian says that, as a result of being in service, the chatter in her brain has stopped: “Am I good enough? Am I this enough?”

I mentioned in the beginning, if you have some pain, some shame, some difficulties in your personal story, that maybe you're not going there fully because it's just too painful. Consider how you can use this as fuel, because it's your wounds that show the way. It's your wounds that reveal your why, reveal your mission, and Vivian went right there. She shared about incredible suffering that she experienced. Her whole family, her parents being Holocaust survivors, her dad, who was abusive to her mom and her, and her being sexually abused by him till age 14, when she stood up and she spoke up and liberated, not only herself, but her mother. And now she's liberating these countless girls, and she wouldn't have been able to do it had she not found her voice and transmuted the energy of that pain into the energy of that passion and service.

[Tweet "Your wounds reveal your Why" Dr. Valerie on Her Success Radio]

If you're looking for inspiration and that fuel for your own mission, you will find it in this episode. I'm going to leave you with a couple of thoughts about Vivian's mission, and why it is so important, and it's so easy for us to support. It is so easy. It will blow your mind. She is doing the heavy lifting. Her team on the ground is doing the heavy lifting too, and here's what she says, "The difference between a girl needing to sell her body in order to generate what she needs, because it's the only asset she has, is $10 a month. For her to get menstrual pads, to get to and from school, to contribute to her family, is $10 a month.”

Whatever your mission is, I hope you find your inspiration and your power, and pick up amazing wisdom tips from Vivian from this episode. Find us on iTunes, Her Success Radio, and if you like us, please leave a review, and even more importantly, share with another woman who has this bigness in her, who has the bigness of her mission just wanting to burst out, and she just needs support and inspiration, so let's expand this circle of awakened sisterhood.

To support Vivian’s foundation in their mission, go to www.justlikemychild.org. Don’t forget to watch that video in the “About” section of the site. That’s the video that we talk about in this episode, one that makes me cry every time.

Thank you so much for watching, and if you are sitting on the gold mine of your own incredible mission, but you are filled with self-doubt, and you're just paralyzed, and something just gets in the way of action—every week, as my service, as a part of my service, I am making three sessions available to three of my listeners.

You'll need to apply here on the website. Go to my homepage, drvaleriebaker.com, and click the link that says Her Success Strategy Session, and if you're selected, I would love to support you in identifying those success blocks that get in the way, and giving you my thoughts and suggestions and inspiration and support for removing them. So please apply. Please show up. Raise your hand and show up to your mission, and as Vivian says, "Do the next right thing.”

Here's to your success without sacrifice. Have an amazing week.

Today we have an amazing guest, a real star Denise Duffield-Thomas! She is the money mindset mentor within the new wave of online female entrepreneurs. Her bestselling books “Lucky Bitch” and “Get Reach like a Bitch” give a fresh and funny road map to create an outrageously successful life and business, Denise helps women release their fear of money, set premium prices for their services and take back control over their finances. Denise is an award winning speaker, author, and entrepreneur who helps women transform their economy class money mindset into a first class life. You can find her at denisedt.com. I am so glad to have her on the show!

From a really young age, Denise just wanted to help people. She wanted to motivate them and help them transform their lives, even from being a really little girl. She also wanted to be in a business even though she did not have any women role model in her family. Entrepreneurship seems like men vocation to her. However, that did not stop her from pursuing entrepreneurial path from a really young age. From the first business that she created at the age of 8, till her current multi million dollars coaching business created when she was 31 it took her many trials and errors.  The game changed for Denise when she finally discovered that she needs to work on her money blocks, she deep dived into that area and reborn as a successful business woman who gracefully shares her knowledge and helps others to live their full life expression.

“In my twenties as well, I would start businesses, not be able to make money out of them, get bored and quit, probably until I was about in my early thirties. I was thinking – Maybe I can make money out of this - and you know what I did, I went – I think I have got some money blocks! – It finally hit me!”

Denise finally found the courage to do want she wanted to do. She finally started doing something that was her true passion and decided to just help women transform their lives, just to see where it will take her. Even though the fear was immediate and in her opinion that is what stops people right at the start of their journeys. She was terrified about other people opinions, about asking for money, setting boundaries with her clients, people thinking that she was a fraud or people thinking she was ripping people off…

She perused her dream and found a community of like-minded entrepreneurs as they are the people who saw her for what she really was doing! They understood her and they were in the game with her. Denise quoted Brene Brown:

“You cannot fear judgment from people who are not in the arena with you.”

When she reached for this type of communities she finally started to see behind the curtains of this world where women were creating their own reality, creating their own incomes and they were doing it by being authentic and helping people.

We agreed that our relationship with money is such overlooked area of spiritual development for women. Our relationship with money is such a huge area of power reclamation, just becoming whole as a human being.

“I see sometimes in this spiritual community that we contribute to this collective shame around money. We judge other women for charging for their gifts, we judge what they charge, what they offer, how they are doing it and we perpetuated. It has to come from us and our communities, it is not going to come from the world of men giving us permission to earn more.”

Some of the top money blocks that people deal with are:

“I have to work really, really hard for the money.”

“I have to sacrifice.”

“If I am not working, I am not deserving.”

“I am not worthy.”

“It is not fear for me to make money.”

“You have to choose between helping people and making money.”

Despite all beliefs above Denise encourages us to work on our money blocks, as there is the light on the end of that tunnel. Even though it is scary at the beginning and you are not ever finished with your money work it becomes easier with the time and you open a space for yourself to approach this challenge from the place of curiosity and not from the place of fear and lack.

We are really the first generation of women doing this, as compared with generations and generation past, who were not aware that they could create their own reality and with this knowledge, we need to be aware that our daughters are watching us right now and that they are learning and picking up their future money blocks. It is a big responsibility on us. However, it is something that we can overcome mindfully. The main focus for Denise is to make sure that her children see her as a woman that has a really passionate relationship with her goals and dreams.

It is not strange that Denise seeks to be an inspiration for her children as her result in Your Truth Selfie quiz (www.yourtrueselfie.com) is Inspiration! She is someone who has a big reach and big impact in the world, however at the moment she is finding her voice to speak up about what is happening in the world. She is still in a process of stepping into her truth and Your Truth Selfie quiz reminded her that she is getting to mastery in some areas in her life and she is definitely novas in other areas. Denise is demonstrating again how she is able to hold the high and the low and not ride the roller coaster but maintaining this humbled state of beginners mind, always beginning, always staying fresh and this is such a core spiritual principle that we need to implement in our lives.

This interview was such a great experience. Denise shows us that entrepreneurial path is not always easy. From her first online course that had only one participant, till nowadays when she has over 4000 people on her program. She also teaches us about the power of optimistic attitude, desire and unwavering faith in your true life mission.

Fearless and loving path of a peaceful warrior with Dr. Avis Jones-Deweever

Glorious alignment with once vision and mission. Stunning approach to race and justice and, race and gender issues. In the service of healing and restoring unity.

In this episode, we have a remarkable guest, whose mission I admire and love. Dr. Avis Jones-Deweever is a career reinvention strategist, diversity and inclusion solutionist, and race and gender empowerment expert. She is the author of the award winning book “How Exceptional Black Women Lead” as well as the founder and CEO of Exceptional Leadership Institute for Women. A global personal and professional development firm that helps established and aspiring entrepreneurs and executives experience accelerating success while building a holistic life they love.

In this interview, we cover her personal journey. From open-minded and curious little girl that provoked change in her church.  Through years of watching and learning about racism as a person with a dark skin tone. Going through divorce and finding herself whiten unfriendly working environment, which on the end pushed her into her entrepreneurial path.

On my question about her own healing path, she answers that it is an evolutionary thing for her. She also emphasizes the importance of healing on the national level and points out that the United States never undergo through any kind of reconciliation process.

“We do not really teach a full and round, and brought the reality of our history in school systems and all of that creates sort of toxic environment where people fail to acknowledge realities that other people face who are not like them. That creates a very difficult barrier for people to push tough. Until that cultural predisposition is ended I do not understand how we will ever reach a place of healing in this nation, not only personally but nationally.”

She also questions America’s grand idea of individualism. Aldo, it brings a sense of personal power and responsibility, on the other hand with so many individually focused people we have lost a feeling of brother compassion for people that experience world differently than us.

“Honestly, it is a big cultural revolution that we have to undergo as a nation in order to think beyond individual and to make it a little bit more communal, and think a little bit more sort of sympathetically and empathetically, and include all of us. Focusing on commonalities as a human race without erasing the fact that we have different experiences and different histories, those need to be acknowledged and accepted as well.”

We also talked about the pressure that black women face while climbing corporate ladder. Intense fear of failing as it potentially can shut down opportunity window for next colored woman due to common generalization. This is the topic which Shonda Rhimes covers in her book “Year of Yes”. Faced with this obstacle black women fortunately nowadays embrace the entrepreneurial journey. Dr. Davis mission is to convince them to trust that they have within them all that they need to even excel where they are today and to bring confidence in their lives. As one of the women from her book stated:

Confidence is not knowing that you have all the answers, it is not believing that you know everything. Confidence is trusting that you have the ability to figure it out!

Dr. Avis’s superpower is Inspiration.

” I was inspirational. It is just wonderful to be able to live a life where you know that you are living on your purpose on this Earth and you are able to create the life and lifestyle that you deserve and want for your family and for your legacy. I just think it is a beautiful experience and it starts with trusting in you.”

The Your Truth Selfie quiz indicated that perhaps she was undervaluing some of the things that she did by which Avid was amazed as she recently recognized success blocks in this area of her life. Reclamation of the value of our work is so tied into our reclamation of self-worth. And refusing it to be dictated by the outside opinions or forces of any kind and undoing that internalized conditioning.

Lastly, we had an amazing discussion about realistic thinking. Recognizing it as a huge success block. Her take on this topic blows me away!

“The word realistic gives you an excuse to operate under your capabilities. It just gives you an easy out. You are the architect of your boundaries, and if you want to set it small by convincing yourself that something is not realistic, than you just created an invisible barrier that was not there until you put it there. ”

I just love all pearls of wisdom that she sprinkled all over this interview. Thank you Dr. Avid!

Dr. Jones-Deweever has a giveaway for you too!  She has created Carrier Vision and Action Guide that you can download. It is a tool to help you to really write out what their career goals are and plot a path to help them get there. An inspiring tale of success, mission, and trust. Emphasizing the importance of curiosity and vulnerability. Stepping into our own greatness and fulfilling one's life purpose.

Melinda beautifully describes a process of freeing oneself from employ mentality and embracing leadership. She shares with us step by step system for following our passion, tuning into our mission and creating a successful business. I was stunned by her evolved spiritual outlook on an entrepreneurial journey, embracing it all as research and guidance, as she said: “It is all research moving us toward a greater version of ourselves and our dreams.”

We share a wonderful moment in which she recalls the event when she was guided to take her entrepreneurial path.

“I could feel with all my body that this was a calling that was emerging and I better pay attention. I heard in that moment - Now you will do the same for others. You will help them eliminate burdens and distractions so they can live their God given potential. -”

In 2004 she created thriving profitable coaching business, but she saw most start up coaches struggling to enjoy their passion for coaching and not making money at it, because they were distracted and overwhelmed by the behind the scenes burdens of their business. That was when she created The Coaches Console, the all in one business management technology for coaches. She makes opportunity for them to do the work they love and help them with all the business stuff that they do not like as much and she just happened to love it. Melinda has worked with thousands of coaches around the world and is here to share her wisdom with us.

She shares with us her story of how she created thriving profitable coaching business with zero experience. We cover everything, from villains of vulnerability, hectic states of mess and, fears and anxieties that appear with rising success.

I am so grateful that Melinda openly shared the truth that lies behind the scenes of the successful business. We also talk about the importance of community and connection, as entrepreneurial path often can be lonely and isolated. She encourages us to build our network, so we have someone to remind us of our truth in challenging moments.

“Stay connected! Be connected with mentors, be connected with like-minded communities, we cannot do this on our own. It is way bigger than us and we can lean into our sisters, we can lean into our community, we can lean into our mentors and borrow their courage when we cannot locate ours on a one day. They will help us and remind us of what we know, or tools that we have at our fingertips to navigate through those doubts and fears.”

I was so happy to hear that Melinda enjoyed Your truth selfie quiz. The quiz shows you your super powers and areas where you are reclaiming your true gifts. It shows you your success blocks and also your success gateway. For Melinda, as you will hear in this episode, it is an inspiration, that is where she dances, that is where she dwells, this is hers super power and the challenges come up in that same territory. You will find some tools, right there in your quiz results on how to navigate through strengths and challenges of your super power. So I hope Your truth selfie will serve you too. Feel free to check it out and share your results with me!

Melinda was so generous and shared with us Ultimate coaching business blueprint. It is a free resource for getting organized behind the scenes and it is made to equip you so that you are an amazing business owner and you can do more of what you love! In it you have everything you need to have behind the scenes of your business organized, it contains all the parts and pieces grouped into seven best practices for what it takes to run your business. It is like well-oiled machine that will position you to really get consistent, grow your list, get clients, and generate the revenue that you want to generate on regular basis!

Thank you so much, Melinda!

What a deep conversation, I am sure I will be listening to it again and processing it. If you liked this episode as much as I do, please share it with another woman entrepreneur or somebody who is stuck in her job and you know that she is bigger than that and you want to share it with her to give her curate to take the entrepreneurial leap.

Lessons from this episode:

  •         There is that moment when trust is all we have. (06:47)
  •         When everything is uncertain, anything is possible! (10:20)
  •         Stay curious and do not be afraid to be vulnerable. (17:07)
  •         Do not build it first, talk to people and embrace leader mentality. (21:21)
  •         Give yourself permission to be in your creative mess and to share your experiences. (29:00)
  •         Stay connected to your “Why”! (38:28)

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Until then,

Stay in your heart.

Skinny does not equal happy:

How to shed shame, boost your confidence, and bring your full self to life

She was cast as a hippo in a ballet. She spent years chasing the body ideal that was unhealthy and unsustainable. Elyse shares what she learned on her journey as a dancer and fitness instructor about overcoming body shame, boosting confidence, and bringing her full self to life.

"The message that happy equals skinny was so ingrained in me," Elyse said.

Her mom has been on every diet, from the grapefruit diet to the carrot diet. Her grandma would look at Elyse when she was super skinny and light up: "You look skinny!" And when she didn't look super skinny, she would day, "You look... healthy."

When her grandma got tongue cancer and had only 1/3 of her tongue left and lost a ton of weight, she said: "It's the best thing that happened to me. I'm finally at my ideal weight."

Elyse has been a dancer since age 3. Leotards. Type casting for parts in a ballet about animals. She was cast as a hippo. She was not overweight, but she was curvier than other girls. She remembers that moment, looking around the room from inside the hippo costume... She remembers "a deep feeling of shame... Almost like everyone in the room knew something about me that I didn't know."

Her story brought up a memory for me. I was in a school gym class... Maybe I was 10, or 11, or 12... Looking around at all these naturally skinny girls in shorts. I was embarrassed to wear shorts. I felt my thighs were too big.

I was not overweight, but I wasn't super skinny. I remember sitting there on a gym wooden bench, uncomfortable in shorts, looking down at my inner thighs, lifting them off the bench and pressing them together, so they would appear thinner. When no one was looking, I would pinch and pull on the flesh, wishing it would go away, magically disappear, so I too would have the holy grail of a thigh gap... It was a deep desire, from the bottom of a child's heart.

Have you ever felt body shame? Have you ever judged another woman for the way she looked? (Maybe not out loud, but in your mind?) Have you ever judged yourself for not having "the right" kind of body? Have you ever judged yourself for judging other women?

Gawd it's been so messed up, growing up a girl in this f---ed up patriarchy.

Seriously.

So much healing for us to do.

Speaking of healing, in this episode, I share about my experience at Mama Gena's (www.mamagenas.com) Mastery weekend in NYC. If you don't know Mama Gena, give yourself the exquisite pleasure of discovering her blog and her books, and The Womanly Arts Experience. It will change your life. It has changed mine.

Tune in and hear all about it.

Along with Elyse's story of healing her own body shame, getting off the treadmill of that "body ideal" that she could never realistically maintain, and reclaiming her health, her beauty, her vitality... And her tips on how you too can bring your full self to life.

Oh, the sweet feeling of shedding the shame and feeling comfortable and joyful in your body!
